Abdullah Awad al Juhani was born in 1976 into a devoutly religious family, who inspired and supported his pursuit of Islamic studies. As a result, he earned a doctorate in Islamic Shari’ah and Qur’anic Recitation from Umm al Qura University at a notably young age.
In 2007, Sheikh al Juhani was appointed as a permanent Imam of Masjid al Haram. Since 2008, he has been leading the Taraweeh prayers in Makkah during Ramadan. Known for his melodious and emotive recitation, he has captivated the hearts of millions of worshippers around the world.
Throughout his esteemed career, Abdullah Awad al Juhani has served as Imam at several prominent mosques, including Masjid Al Quba, Masjid Al Jinn, Masjid Al Nabawi, and Masjid Al Qiblatain. Additionally, he has participated in numerous international Islamic conferences and events, representing the rich tradition of Qur’anic recitation and Islamic scholarship. His contributions extend beyond his duties as an Imam, as he is actively involved in teaching and mentoring students in the sciences of Qur’anic recitation and Islamic jurisprudence.
Sheikh al Juhani is also known for his charitable activities and community service, often engaging in efforts to support and uplift the less fortunate. His dedication to his faith and community continues to inspire many within the Islamic world.
